the creator of the universe has grown tired of late. he's grown weary of caring for every-thing he made, and he thinks he deserves time to rest. the responsibility to rule has been left to two gods, the son and daughter of this great creator. their names are unknown, but they are referred to the goddess harmony and the god discord. harmony and discord aren't content to rule together, no; they have two very different sets of intentions. harmony, as implied by her assigned name, wants the universe and every separate reality in which it exists to be entirely free, allowing all of its inhabitants to live on in peace. but discord, on the other hand, wants nothing more than to enslave every being in existence, forcing them all to worship him absolutely. this disagreement has driven the two dieties to war.
but a war needs soldiers. the gods, with their omnipotence, have decided to find warriors.
these warriors, in time, will be forced to pick a side on which to fight. but until the time comes for the battle, the chosen are simply plucked from their lives - different worlds, different times, different realities - and contained in one place. this place is called Terra, and it was created by harmony and discord to keep the chosen caged. these soon-to-be warriors don't know where they are or why they were taken and by whom, and are forced to leave behind their own worlds and possessions to exist in Terra. they're simply the play things of the gods, even if they're not entirely aware of that fact yet. new people arrive every day, and the place is filling up. the mystery of the chosen will soon be discovered.
BUTTERFLIES & HURRICANES is a multi-fandom, alternate universe roleplay. absolute-ly any fandom is fair game, from TV shows, movies, books, comics, mangas, et cetera. the
site is fairly literate, the staff is very friendly, and everyone is welcome! there's some seriously epic stuff going on, so you should join in and find yourself a part in it all.
