Crystal decided to sneak back into the city grounds to steal more food, after the incident with Tal and Crystal's only food. Nonetheless, Crystal was bored. It was only until she entered the city center, where she felt herself being watched. It was little gut instincts like that, with could set of warning signals in her head. She could not take any chances, but mere risks for survival.
"Hey, pretty girl...." A grizzly voice sounded right behind her, and Crystal could swear it was near her ear. With the navy cloak still shading her face, she turned menacingly around to face the stalker.
"Are you talking to me?" Crystal replied, trying to be as calm as she could.
"Ooh, your a fiesty one, aren't ya?" The man laughed, "Little girl, you have no business here. I'm sure you mother would not be pleased......But of coarse, it's not really possible now is it?"
Huh? Crystal saw a cruel smile planted on the man's bearded face. She studied him more closely. This man wore the red Spartan warrior armor, adorned with a gold helmet with a red horse-like mane on the top, and a dangerous long broad-sword at his hilt. At the corner of her eye, Crystal could see his hand edging towards the sword. Crystal was cautious.
"Parden me? " Crystal replied calmly, yet on guard.
"Or better yet....Did your father teach you how to be a menace?" The man did not laugh this time, "Your father only prefered to co-operate with the Gods, rather than fight with his fellow Spartan's. He was devious, your father. Brave, ignorant and secretive. He wanted to overthrow the Spartan leader, so he can claim the position for his own. If he did, he would have twisted the battle and endangered our lives."
Crystal listened intently. This guy better not be who I think it is.....He knew my father...could this be.....?
The man continued with a whisper. "So....we did the only thing left to do......"
"You bastard!" Crystal was then startled when the man suddenly, flipped off her cloak, revealing the familar face of the daughter of the Spartan warrior. He found the last of the family....
"Who the hell are you!!!" Crystal now yelled, ignoring the fact that all the villager were now watching, whilst a few ran for their lilives. It was clear. A battle was about to start.
"My name....is Theodorus, "The man, the withdrew his silver broad-sword and pointed it menacingly at me.
"That leaves you to steal the commander rank......Traitor!!!!!" Crystal replied, with a hint of venom in her tone. In retaliation , she withdrew her own long sword, lined with rubies. It was a prized possession, only for that fact it was the most valuable item she dared to steal. She could not let it go to waste.
Suddenly, Theodorus lunged at her with his sword, but for the first move, she foresaw this. In defence, she rolled quickly to the side and slashed with her sword, only to connect with his weapon. The first clang of weapons smashed together, indicating a long and bloody battle ahead.
In the distance behind the soldier, Crystal could see another half a dozen soldiers running for battle. They were expecting this!
Crystal gritted her teeth, and she attempted to slash her foe, only to be stopped by the soldier's powerful skill and swordplay. This will not be an easy task....
Crystal was took in a deep breath, as she was then surrounded by the six other Spartan soldiers, half who held the Spartan spear, while the others brandished their large swords. It was the spear-weilding Hoplites who held their ultra-long spears pointing at Crystal, who then hoped straight into her defensive warrior stance.
Oh, boy.....

Athena had been following this girl for a while now. She had something about her... Athena couldn't put her finger on it. But she liked it. She was tough, and was willing to go out on the limb. She stood her ground, and Athena loved it. She smiled to herself as she watched from the trees. Illainus. That's what she reminded Athena of. Her favorite archer once upon a time. Loyalty. Was the key trait of Illainus. If this girl had it. Athena couldn't let her pass with out making an offer. Intrigued Athena tilted her head to the side. Watching this girl fight would be interesting. But one girl versus six armed Spartans? The outcome of that couldn't be pretty.
Annoyed at the fact that she couldn't let her fight; Athena nodded her head. It left gold dust sprinkling from where she was standing. She zapped herself to the side of this girl. It wasn't like her to help random mortals that did not worship her; but she was just so much like Illainus. Athena watched the Spartans, she rose her hand up, showing them to stop. Yes; she was dead at one time. But now she was back. She was a little interest to see if these men would recognize her or not.

Crystal braced herself to be speared by the six men, but she could not wait that long. Each minute was agonizing, as she expected to get a blow from behind. She could not take that chance.
With one swift movement, and perfect timing, her sword clashed with that of one of the spears, chopping it cleanly in half. Clearly, the soldier was angry now, and decided to withdraw his Spartan battle sword.
Wasting no time, and using this distraction, Crystal elevated herself in the air as she did a front-ward flip over the soldier, and removed herself out of the circle.
At the corner of her eye, she could see a few more soldiers coming. Dammit! God, help me.....
As the solders lunged towards her, she was startled by a divine figure who materialised right next to her. Ultimately, she simply put a hand up and and soldier's obeyed, as they stopped, almost frightened by her appearence.
And she looked very familair indeed.
"A-Athena?!" Crystal was definatly suprised to see her here. They had never met before, and she had always thought she cared less for mortals. After all, she expected the Goddess of War and Wisdom to stand in the side-lines and watch the trained Spartan soldiers impale her several times. But that was before Crystal had heard of her death. A Goddess who died and resurrected yet again. And no-one understood how or why.
Nontheless, she was interested in what the Goddess wanted. She waited eagerly for Athena's reply. Either she was going save her, or watch her die.

Talarya had travelled to Sparta with Crystal because the Oracle had given her some mystic message about a walless city that the city may or may not be. Crystal had decided to go into the city to find more food and that left the young Athenian to her own devices.
She had decided to start exploring the city by herself, hoping to find some clues that would make the mysterious message slightly clearer. After an hour of searching nothing seemed to pop out at her, leaving her frustated.
Tal decided that she would try and find Crystal again and assumed that the warrior would most likely be in the market square. She made her way over to the thronging open air market and tried to find her friend; cursing her height as her shortness made it difficult to see anything in the throng.
Standing on barrel she began to survey the crowd, but did not see the Crystal anywhere. Then a commotion at the gate caught her eye; her friend was caught in a ring of Spartan warriors, it didn't look good. Hurridly she jumped off her barrel and ran towards where she had seen Crystal.
When she arrived at the gate, Tal was suprised to see that another female figure had joined Crystal in the centre of the ring of Spartans. She was even more suprised to see that the figure was that of Athena, patron goddess of her city. So much for the Gods being killed, she thought.
Not thinking about her own safety, Tal cried out and ran at one of the Spartans. She jumped onto his back and pulled the helmet down over his eyes so that he was temporarily blinded. She was hoping that this would provide enough of a distraction to let the other two women do something.

[Hopefully Athena will show up online soon...I'm not sure how far i should go now that she joined the scene.]
It was a brief moment of eye-contact that Crystal had with Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, when a familiar, yet scary sight greeted her. Talarya had run into the heat of battle. Crystal's blue eyes widened when Talarya, as quick a a hare, dashed towards a solder from behind, and jumped on his back startling him.
"Talarya! Be careful!!!" Crystal almost screamed, as she ignored the Goddess and ran towards the stunned soldier, who quickly removed his battle helmet and prepared to lunge at Talarya with his spear raised high.
Crystal sped towards him just in time, and with her own sword, slashed at his now-vulnerable flesh, causing him to immediatly colapse in a heap on the ground. There he lay, bloody and unmoving.
She then ran towards Talarya, preparing to shield her from the oncoming soldiers, "Why did you come looking for me? Do you realise how dangerous these soldiers are?! I sure hope to the Gods that you know how to defend yourself....."
In that brief moment, another solder lunged at her with her with his Spartan sword, and with Crystal slightly distracted...She did not see the sword slash before her eyes, and striking her directly on the right soldier. As quickly as the blade pierced her flesh, it was removed, but in time for Crystal to send a weak, but effective blow with her sword towards him.
Immediatly, she clutched her deep, bleeding wound, but did not cry out for fear of looking vulnerable. She began to feel slightly weak in the knees, but quickly brushed it off before the Goddess.

Athena had smiled. So, that people haven't forgotten their gods. But in an instant a new person came onto the scene. Athena was stunned to see this new character. Mortals. She thought to her self and rolled her eyes. Athena's eyes widened, as she saw that the girl she'd been watching was wounded. She would heal her after she'd sent these men running home. Her eyes turned to a gold color, and she took a step forward, raising her hand up. Like before, but this time she pointed to one of the men and a gold flame had caught him on fire, he screamed or a few seconds; and then turned to nothing but ash. Athena looked to the others, and began to point to another. But he took one glance at the pile of ash and took off. So did the others. But the one the girl was talking to was hesitant to leave. Up until Athena's hand pointed at him. Athena smirked to herself. As her eyes returned to normal. So she did still have it.

[[Theodorus is an NPC of mine, as he plays an important role in my character's history. Try to keep him alive ]] Crystal was speechless. Not only had she believed the Gods to be dead, but she had just witnessed, Athena the Goddess of Wisdom, use her immortal powers on the Spartan soldiers. Of coarse she was thankful that she saved there lives. Both herself and Talarya. On the other hand, she could have attempted to handle it alone, considering she hated to feel weak and defenseless. But the Goddess was watching her. She saved her life, and Crystal was forever grateful. So...Athena is alive once again. What about the other Gods? Did they fall with the same fate? I hope she doesn't punish me for not believing that they had risen once again."Goddess...." Crystal then bowed her head, slightly at the immortal entity before her. She still clasp her bloody sword in her right hand, for comfort. Without the sword, she was not a warrior. She would have been nothing. "Athena...What brings you to Sparta? I-I thought....Forgive me....There were rumors that you died, "Crystal felt slightly ashamed. And she believed those pitiful rumors. "You!" Theodorus himself, remained in his postion. Although the Goddess had threatened him and his men, she stood his ground. Crystal took a menacing glance at her enemy, but tried not to let that distract her. She'll have her way with him later.

Talarya was thrown off the bcak of the soldier that she had jumped onto and was staring at the pointed end of his spear approaching her head when Crystal jumped into the fray and killed him.
"Why did you come looking for me?" the Spartan yelled. "Do you realise how dangerous these soldiers are?! I sure hope to the Gods that you know how to defend yourself....."
Tal grinned, she knew how to handle herself in a scrap. She was lighter and faster than these heavily armoured men and could evade most blows sent her way. Also, now that she had seen Athena, there was no way she was going to back out of the fight and lose face in front of the Goddess that she worshipped.
The Goddess' eyes suddenly turned golden in colour, flames shot out of her hands and one of the Spartans was a pile of ashes on the ground. Most of the soldiers then took flight, except for their leader who stood his ground.
Tal glared at the remaining men, daring them with her eyes but also aware that one of them could make mincemeat out of her. She would sit back and see what Crystal wanted to do next, as well as what the Athena had in mind, for the Gods were most time unprdictable.

((Haha, sorry. I will.))
Athena stood tall, she always stood with that pride in her face, back straight, and shoulders back. She smirked at this girl. She is what I'm looking for. "Arise, The Olympians do not abbandon their people." She took a step back. She shot a glance to the other girl, and the Spartans still standing, I think I evened the odds." She took a few more steps back. Now she'd watch her fight. She could see if this really is the one she was looking for. Sorry it's so short, low on muse.

[[No problem ]] Crystal watched as the Goddess took a few hefty steps back. She was silent for a moment as it did not take her process what was happening. Wait.....Even out the odds? She wants me fight? I thought for sure she'd have fun finishing him off.....I don't want to dissappoint her."You're destroying my men?!" Theodorus broke the long silence. Someone had to, but he was sure pumped for battle. He still had his Spartan sword clasped in his right hand, and raised it ready to begin. Even he knew what the Goddess was implying, "I will kill the little rat!" It was a battle of strength and agility, and Athena would search for the winner. "Who are you calling a litt-" Crystal began, and took a quick side-step to avoid the heavy thrust of her opponents sword. Theodorus wasted no time, and quickly attempted to impale her again. Crystal dodged the other way, having no time to raise her own sword. By her enemy's first strike, she was caught a little off guard, and quickly composed herself as she stepped into her battle stance. Theodorus was the soldier who prefered to strike hard, yet slow. His blows would have been dangerous if Crystal had not moved out of the way in time. But Crystal was quick and agile on her feet, but she used more swift jabs with her sword. She would rather take her time to find the weak points of her enemy, which proved efficient once the battle was over. But, she had already calculated her enemies battle style, which means fast defeat for him. Theodorus began to ran towards Crystal with his sword held high.

[[hope this is ok... its a bit rushed and I thought that you'd want to kill the guy off yourself ;D ]]
Talarya noticed that The Goddess had taken several steps back and had taken herself out of the fight; she looked like she was going to sit this one out.
The young Athenian knew that she had no chance against this huge Spartan warrior but she wanted to be there in case Crystal needed her help. She shifted herself so that she was slightly out of the fighting area but so that she could also jump back in at a moments notice; her small knife clenched in her hand which she held out in front of her.
Luckily for Tal, the Spartan was focused on the warrior woman and toatally ignored her as her fought. Blows rained down from either side; Crystal was light and fast while the Spartan was slow but strong.
Tal continued to watch the fight, ready to step in if things started to look bad for her friend but knowing that Crystal would want to finish the fight herself if she could.
