Athena walked through the grassy field, it might have once been a peaceful nice place. But now the tall green and dying grass were covered in blood. There were bodies lying about everywhere. Athena saw the bodies covered in blood and stabbed, with swords and arrows. This battle had been recently ended. She walked by a body and shook her head.
Mortals, they were un lucky. She had experienced what it was like to be with one. With death, and pain. Xena had struck her down, it was all Ares' fault too. Never mind that though, it had been an eye opening experience. She know understood some things she didn't before. Athena knelt beside a young man, he had to not be any older that 13. This saddened her. She waved her hand over this boy, she couldn't bring him back, she closed his bright blue eyes. Seeing mortals like this wasn't always a good way to start her morning.
Athena stood and continued walking through the fields. She knew she didn't have to walk, but she didn't have anything better to do. It had not been long since she had risen again, she suspected it was only a rumor that Zeus, Hades and herself had returned. Soon that would change though. Many people would know, and the Twilight would be known as just a small glitch in the Olympians rulings. But now they were back and things were about to change.

People were chasing a child then, nearby, he ran and ran, only to be chased more, as he was surrounded a lightning bolt crashed beside him, yet not harming him, scaring away his pursuers. It was then that Zeus appeared on the battlefield, surveying it with a saddened but analytical eye.
He spoke then, as his dark hair blew in the wind, his long flowing robes billowing a bit "Change is never easy, many times, it's even violent."
He walked along the battlefield, seeing the child that Athena had seen dead earlier. With a wave of his hand and a flash of light, the boy and his family were alive, and unscathed. The man spoke then "The King of the Gods!" bowing in reverence, in surprise, and shock.
Zeus spoke then "Go home, and tell everyone, that Zeus has not abandoned his followers, that the gods will not abandon them in their time of need, no believer in the light will persecute a believer in the old ways with impunity! Go now Lydias."
With that he disappeared, at least in the eyes of the mortals, they could no longer see him. He walked to Athena then, he smiled a bit, taking her chin in his hand, kissing her forehead and cheeks and spoke then "I knew I felt you return. It would seem your uncle is pulling out all the stops. I'm glad your well. Makes an old man happy."

Athena smiled, she closed her eyes as she felt pride gleaming through her. She always wanted to be his favorite daughter, but she always had Aphrodite to compete with. Maybe now, things would change. After all it was her, Aphrodite who betrayed them just as well as Ares did. Athena bowed her head slightly. "Father!" She said under her breath. It was a relief to see him.
"I have missed you so." She said looking up. Keeping her head high. She glanced down, again at all the lifeless corpse' on the ground. She sneered to wards them, "It really does look like the god of Eli is keeping his people safe." She spoke sarcastically. She turned her head back to her father. She had a million questions she wished to ask him. But they would come out sooner or later. She looked down again to the man lying on the ground, so young, such a pity.
Athena bent down, she hovered her her hand over his face. Just a few gold sparks came from her finger tips. Her powers were weak, she'd have to rest and restore them. Maybe Ol' Uncle Hades had done this a reason. A little gleam of hope struck. Maybe death had recharged her powers, and now they were stronger. But maybe not. Maybe she just needed time to let them come back at their own pace. She stood once more. And examined her hand closely. She looked to a near wagon the was tipped on it's side. She flicked her wrist in that direction, but again nothing but gold sparks. She shrugged and once more looked at her father.
