Through the busy streets of Sparta, Crystal, crimson-clad in a leather outfit, wondered curiously around the city so foreign to her. She had been travelling for days, and still, she had found no permanent home. She had no denares to spend, therefore she had no access to any food or water.
However, Crystal had to keep moving away from the beast who murdered her father. It was almost as if, by fate, it was meant to happen. Her father had not turned her into a warrior for nothing. He had prepared her from what was to come. But the only question, was why him? Why did her father get murdered? Why was he the target? It could not have been random....could it?
Too many questions wizzed through Crystal's mind, however one stood out. Now, what to eat...
Crystal, by seeing no-one in sight, hid herself behind a large red vase. She peered around the corner and waited, as a couple passed by. In sight, Crystal could see a stall selling all sorts of bread, and a large flask of water. Not to mention other little goodies...
Crystal had her eye on the prize. Or two....When an idea sprang to mind, Crystal retrieved a small stone from the ground beside her, and threw it beside the shopkeeper. The woman was furious, as the stone smashed against a vase on display.
Some onlookers were scanning the area for the culprit, but Crystal kept herself hidden. During the chaos, and when no-one was looking, she bolted to the store and stole a loaf of bread, and the water flask. However, that did not seem enough, as Crystal eyed a beautiful dagger lined with red jewels, and snatched it off the table.
Satisfied with her fill, she bolted off into the empty, dark street.

So, Ares was pretty used to watching the thievery take place near his temple. Sure, he wasn't always the 'good guy' as history would say it, he wasn't the good guy at all. He was the devious God, always looking for someway to start a fight, start an epic war. But, lately, this hadn't been the case. Ares, had been uncharacteristically not himself. Spending most of his days watching the peasants on the street, stealing to survive, something which he could have helped with their predicament.
However, if he had changed his heart completely, people would start to question his God tactics. Question what it was he was doing, and why he wasn't the same God which some aspire to be like. On this particular day, he hadn't been walking around, he had been sitting in his temple, on the old wooden chair, watching in a blue cloud of smoke the peasants who had been stealing to survive. Perhaps he had thought it best to keep and eye on them, maybe help them out if things became too tough for them, and step in at the exact right time.
Ares sat up, something had caught his eye, something very strange indeed. This wasn't just a normal peasant, the clothes had gave it away. But as he had watched the whole scene, he knew this had better be sorted face to face. This girl wasn't an average girl, she was a warrior. Snapping his fingers, he flicked out of his temple and into the streets. Brushing past the hassle and fuss that the stall owner had, cursing and yelling as she cleaned up the mess, he placed his hands on his hips and walked a few feet down the market place, and turned the corner in the small dark alley way.
"So, when does a warrior hide from trouble?" he asked, walking up behind the girl, his arms folding across his chest as he stood a few feet away from the girl, "... or really, how does a warrior run from a challenge with stolen goods?" his voice was far from sympathetic for what the girl must have been through previous to the crime she had committed. He was more amused with a slight irritation for her actions.

[[I'm not sure if people would actually recognise the God of War. especially in the town, but in this case, she does not know......]]
Crystal almost jumped on the spot, as she was startled by a voice behind her. Only a few paces away from the voice, she whirled around to face the stranger. Or yet, he did look familiar....
"Um, are you talking to me? I didn't do anything...." Crystal said with ease. She was careful to make sure the navy blue cloak did not slide off her face, which was concealed under it. Well, the only thing that could be seen was her bright blue eyes.
Being undercover quite often has taught her how to keep a straight face and answer smoothly, even when it was a lie. Of coarse, there were times where she could not help herself, and show signs of doubt, but at dangerous times like these, she needs to be careful on how to mask her actions.
"Who are you? You do look....ah, familiar....."
Crystal eyed the stranger with interest. Could he have possibly seen the crime she commited?

"I'd like the think so..." he replied tilting his head to the side, a small cocky but amused expression on his face. She didn't know who he was, but that didn't matter. She soon will. But, he wasn't going to give light into the situation just yet.
Unfolding his arms, Ares stepped toward her, glancing over his shoulder at the ruckus happening in the street behind them. "So, you're a bad lier... let me take a look at the dagger." inclining his head, he nodded toward the small sword concealed in her cloak. He wasn't stupid, or maybe she thought she could get away with it - after all, she didn't know who he was exactly.
There was something about her eyes, in which Ares see. Something strong, and yet, she didn't know how strong she could be. Maybe he could help her, or maybe he would use her for all his bidding. Ponding the latter, he drew a deep breath, shrugged and leaned against the wall. "So, do you come here often?" he asked casually, lifting his foot to aid himself against the wall, his arms still folded across his chest.

This guy is definatly up to something.....Maybe its the way he talks, all-knowing, or possibly the way he stands....This stranger was definatly not your average soldier, and Crystal was too determined to find out who he was, than just ignore the confrontation.
Crystal pondered for a moment, when he gave her the hinto to show the small jagged dagger she had stolen. Maybe I better show him so I dont start any trouble......Show him, and get the hell outta here...i'm already in enough trouble here in Sparta as it is....
"What? This?" Crystal had a small smirk upon her face, as she retrieved the gleaming silver dagger from the hilt next to her sword. The dagger, good as new, had a few rubied lining its hilt. Clearly, it was quite a valuable and rare piece, and Crystal didn't want to give it up that easily.
While retrieving her new weapon, she was careful to hid her other weapon under the cloak, which still concealed her. She then held it up in front of her face, being careful to keep a fair distance between them.
"As for coming here often.....I linger whenever I need too...." Crystal explained, as she tried to keep the stranger busy, rather than stealing her prize, "I was born here, but something happened and i've been forced to fend for myself. Save for the weapon I indeed stole......After all, a girl needs to look after herself."
Crystal smiled sweetly, hiding the real emotions behind the innocent looking face.
She paused for a moment, "Besides, you didn't answer my quietion. Who are you? I would like to know my stalker...."
