Character Name: Hephaestus
Sex: Male
Age: Immortal, looks to be in his 40's or 50's
Position: Good
God/Mortal/Amazon/centaur/valkery,Exct: God
Appearance:
Personality: Quiet and reflective, Hephaestus is a very secluded individual who worships his wife Aphordite and lavishes her with gifts whenever possible. Hephaestus is overly loyal and will always return favors and reward people for having helped him. Sometimes revengeful he does not appreciate how other's value his wife quite so much.
History: Thrown off Olympus when he was a baby, Hephaestus was raised by the sea goddess Thetis for most of his life. The fall rendered him lame and he was only discovered or cared about because of the wonderful gifts he showered his surrogate mother with. Hera, wanting the same gifts and feeling a slight bit of guilt, took him back and he built the thrones of Olympus. Aphrodite was soon given to him as his wife as repayment, but though Hephaestus considered himself very fortunate and happy, his wife did not seem to hold the same regard for their union.
Sample Rp: The furnace's glow lit on his skin brilliantly, his skin was dark and sooty from going straight from the fire to the anvil, the loud pounding only audible above the inhuman roar of flames.
Yes, this is where he was happy.
Bringing the hammer down hard he finally set the dent out of the large blade, it's metal ugly and deformed such as himself, he wished he too could set a hammer upon himself to right the wrongs done upon him. But to mule over past wrongdoings was worthless when the ones who went against you were gods, perhaps there was further fortune for him in the future.
Maybe Aphrodite would be home tonight.
He so wished she would be.
Finally plunging the nearly completed sword into the water, the angry hiss and roil of steam making him smile, he drew it out to find it becoming in it's strong but mangled shape, it was beautiful to any that could appreciate it, but there were few who could. Hobbling back to the happy flames, Hephaestus let the metal heat up and then began to pound upon it further.
Several minutes more and it now hung to be decorated on the 'morrow, it's creator was limping ungainly towards the stairs, back to the world in which he was not welcome.
But life could not be perfect, even for a god.
Secret Word: bacon bits
What you plan on doing with the character: Recovering his smithy now that he finds himself alive, find out what happened with his wife and possibly his loathed brother. He's not too keen on knowing why he is back from the dead, but he would like to know what he's to do now, and if he has any use now.
